E-books puts Amazon in a potentially new tornado.

I still believe, and some postings of Yuen comments on the GMST thread seem to support the idea, that GMST has periodicals in mind first for e-books. I think that business model will work better, with less consumer and content provider resistance, compared to "books".

RE: E Books

I am going to have to go down to Borders today and pick up one of these books and set in the coffee shop there and read from it.

As a Bookaholic, (almost every wall is covered with bookcases!) I find it difficult to believe I would set down to read the latest W.E.B. Griffin from it, (A new "Honor Bound" came out last week, so I am back in the middle of WWII, in Argentina, with a new "Ed McBain" to read right behind it!) I will let you know my reaction.

Of course, they are not after me. My demographics do not fit the market for these books, which will be the kids who have not spent 55 years reading paperbacks.
