In case no one noticed, GSM isn't enjoying an easy growth here in the US. Not now. Definitely despite nearly a year's head start in US markets. It is too easy to highlight its feature of leaving unsuspecting consumers with an expensive "NO NETWORK" flashy thing. I don't believe Nokia wants to be left behind in the fastest growing digital standard in North America. Watch Ericsson in April. I guess by your remark they won't mind relinquishing the US market leadership to the big E (using Q's chips).
