Zomax Incorporated Announces a 982% Increase (to $.69/Share) in Fourth Quarter 1999 Earnings

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Zomax Incorporated (Nasdaq: ZOMX) today reported record sales and earnings for its fourth quarter ended December 31, 1999. Sales for the fourth quarter increased 268% to $64,283,000 from $17,463,000 for the same period last year. Net income for the fourth quarter of 1999 increased 982% to $11,488,000 from $1,062,000 in 1998. Diluted earnings per share were $.69, compared to $.07 in the fourth quarter of 1998, an increase of 886%, on 11% more shares outstanding.

Sales for the twelve months ended December 31, 1999 increased 275% to $229,261,000, compared to $61,074,000 in 1998. Net income for the twelve months ended December 31, 1999 increased 625% to $25,827,000, or $1.58 per diluted share, as compared to $3,561,000, or $.26 per diluted share in 1998.
