Philipah, this part is good too:

Niles added that personal-computer prices were flat to up, reversing a trend in recent years that had seen lower prices
for Intel products as demand shifted to use its chips in computers priced at less than $1,000.


That and being capacity constrained should help prevent a price war with AMD.

He said Intel would benefit in the first quarter from a rebound in demand for personal computers. Large to
medium-sized businesses had slowed their purchases because of fears about the Year 2000 computer transition.
