"divine is creating a better future for everyone"

they surely plan to live up to their name...
...can't be British

I know a decent blues musician from Chicago who now lives with my wife's (sorry 'bout that!) sister in London. So everything is connected again. This SFTBF thing is scary. Zaibatsu on every level.

Re: DVIN Internet Zaibatsu legal issues

Yeah, Edwin, it is clever. And it's not a peripheral slogan. Whether you read "Flip"'s interviews or just look @ their webpage, 'INTERNET ZAIBATSU' is mentioned constantly.

I sincerely doubt that Flip independently discovered this business model for his Net-centric VC, although there's nothing wrong with that - as we know, a gazillion VCs (all American) proudly refer to themselves as keiretsus. Regardless, I believe DVIN has trademarked the phrase Internet zaibatsu (or, actually, some permuatation of that phrase). Theoretically, the next time that Masayoshi Son uses that phrase, DVIN can sue Softbank.

Surprise.

It appears that they are doing Softbank a
reverse one up play where they are copying Softbank's model and applying it to the US Market. They even call
themselves "the First True Internet Zaibatsu". <G>. Clever, these Americans.
