It was not a 15% off sale for JDSU, nor was it a 20% off sale for ETEK. Those were the POINT losses, which represent 7.32% for JDSU, and 10.6% for ETEK. A reasonable idea to get some additional shares on a pullback,...sure.

yzfool, you mean you are not ready to " fly to quality ", bonds at 7% and Alcoa ? back tomorrow for more...... :-) TA Message #5057 from yzfool at Jan 24 2000 3:57PM JDSU just had a 15% off sale, and ETEK 20%, 2 days before earnings and amidst all kinds of re-iterations and upward revised targets. No brainer, added aggressively today to both, filled at 213 and 195. TECH is still where its at, regardless of what they do to rates.

I had been bargain hunting today as well in this sector. This selloff was a yawner! Glad we got a big one right off the bat. At least, there is now reason for the sidelines cash to finally enter the market. Of course the buyers don't all come in at once. Confident as ever in being a JDSU shareholder.
