Tommy

i have that same feeling as well...

my cycle guy is Carpino, he's excellent as well...he had the cycle lows or Fri += 1-2 days..with a date of 1-24 in his chart...

and after reading your posts over the years i know what happens the day after opp exp..every MON it seems is wildly crazy..

i posted the same thing on the Gems thread...like "hang tough"..nothing i own or trade got stopped out all held support..

and the DJIA moved right back to the middle today...i was talking to Jan about that today ...

i doubt if any indicators did anything today..in fact, one gave a buy signal last Fri..and the OPTI is very close...

so we continue to buy the dips, the pullbacks, etc..

till something on our indicator charts tell us differently...

it's really nice that you always pop in here to give your opinion about rough days like this..

makes us all feel so good, that your here and that you care...

thanks so much...

"The Earl of Piffdom"....OJ...<g>...

Tom & All.....

Here's an interesting biotech article that mentions HYSQ, together with NGEN, AFFX & MOT (thanks to +j.j. jingleheimerschmidt):

Message 12655815

"Motorola plans to make its microarray chips available for research applications next year.
Other companies working in this area are Nanogen of San Diego, Calif., Affymetrix Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif., and Hyseq Inc., of Sunnyvale, Calif."

FWIW, of the 4 co's mentioned above, only AFFX is in the BBH (at only 2% of the BBH).

Just looking at the stocks I follow/own, it looks like today was just rotation. Some stocks got hit hard but others went up nicely. Seems the large caps got the trim and the small/mid caps appear to have benefited.
