If that was such a "jackass assertion" it would have been easily refuted. Instead, I have a received a bunch of empty flames. The reason I didn't back it up is that it was already explained to you a few days ago, but here it is again.

As a very rough figure, half of Intel's "earnings" are simply the result of employee costs being dropped from the calculation. It's GAAP-legal, and very popular. It also very clearly misstates the amount of earnings Intel has. But my point was, one doesn't have be a CPA to see this. There is no cash dividend or float shrinkage to speak of, so all the cash would be on the balance sheet. That level of cash/investments just isn't there.
