Linda, if you bought 9984 because you expected a strong economy in Japan, then IMHO you bought for the wrong reason. If you look at the spectacular stock performance of Softbank in 1999 and compare it with the economy, which has shown only slight signs of revival, you'll see the drastic difference between the new economy and the old. As I always and boringly say, Japanese stocks in general, no, Softbank, yes. Some day the education system will be reformed, the political system will be cleaned, creativity and orderliness will be combined and Japan's economy will really take off,nonstop for decades. But I don't have a timetable for that.
