ElectofGod,

Reread Matthew...

You must recognize you are using this scripture out of context. It is not intended to prove that you could not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. You actually think Matthew is saying if you accept the gift of salvation you will still be denied?

What the verses are proving is that many call themselves Christians that are not truly Christians! (ie - some Catholics, Protestants, etc...)

You ignore passages in Matthew 7 such as these:
7
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
8
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

You make God a liar with your view because you are saying, "Ask and it won't be given to you; seek and you will not find; knock and the door will be closed to you." Additionally, you are saying "Not everyone who asks receives; he who seeks will not find; and to him who knocks, the door will be shut."

You are limiting God by saying he chose, and that's it! If you are out, you're out! You think God would say, "I am sorry child! I know you believed in me, and prayed to accept me, but I did not choose you, so your out!" No wonder why you think God does not love everyone! You are opposing what the bible says in regard to everything about accepting eternal life through faith!!

You think God could not have chosen you to have eternal life because you have chosen to have faith in him? You would be limiting God, by forcing him to live in our time continuium; and not to love everyone because he didn't choose someone that chose to have faith in him!

You must read the bible in context.

Ephesians 2
8
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
9
not by works, so that no one can boast.

God's grace is what saves you, through faith! If you have faith you WILL be saved! PERIOD!

God Bless That You See The Truth,
Steve

PS - If you believe God has chosen, and someones faith could not save them, why even bother telling anyone about Christianity? Why bother with spreading the gospel? It has no consequence because God has chosen and nothing you can do or say will change that! You might as well stop posting, or talking about God....... You might even make someone jealous, or sad, because they can not have what you got, no matter what they do to try to get it! When the bible talks about spreading the good news, you might as well throw that all away. It doesn't matter with your view! And you make some of God's word meaningless, when not even one word of God's word is meaningless!
