That is a very nice story! (except for the bitter end) Our three year old male German Shepherd likes to "sing" with me, but only if I imitate police or fire engine sirens, and then move to a very low pitch...
Our five year old "tomcat" used to like watching a Japanese children's show, and every time it would come on, he would sit on my computer chair and watch much of the show! Now he ignores the kid's show, but he likes me to play a video tape I made from NHK on birds and other animals. Pets can certainly be much more intelligent and complicated than most people would have us believe. Yogi
