Fred & Intel Investors = Intel's ITanium receives support for a COMMERCIAL 3D Graphics application - Calgari's trueSPACE4.

"Caligari's award-winning trueSpace4 provides content developers the ability to deliver the next-generation of interactive 3D content. trueSpace4 features a real-time modeless environment and a uniquely immersive interface, allowing users to directly manipulate objects in a fully rendered 3D perspective space, thus enhancing and accelerating the design process. Caligari's future support for the Intel Itanium processor is an example of the company's dedication to maximizing performance for the next-generation of hardware accelerators. Last year, Caligari was the first company to demonstrate a 300% increase in performance on the Intel Pentium III processor."

This application is an advanced 3D visualization/rebndering tool for use by commercial illustrators and graphics artists. It is one (maybe the) of the first "everday" applications to be ported to Intel's new IA64/ITanium platform - where SPEED is the over-riding concern.

The momentum for IA64 is building !

One of these days, ITanium systems will be announced - and VOILA ! - there will be software OS's and applications immediately available to run !

OTOTOT,
RE:"His knees have absolutely nothing to do with anything. The ball not coming loose has nothing to do with anything. This is simply a case of people not understanding the rules.

I'd like to see a single official who knows the rules come out and say that the pass was completed. My guess is you can't find one"

If a player is touched by an opposing player, he is down by contact when his knee hits. I believe the receiver was touched.
If the receiver had possession prior to the ball hitting the ground then the ground did not assist in the catch. This is what everyone saw. The receiver did not use the ground to assist in the catch which
is the rule youe are mistakenly using, as were the refs.
The announcers, well versed in the rules, especially Madden, a Super bowl coach, stated they saw no reason to review the play much less
overturn the decision on the field. The fact that it took 2 officials to overturn the call while everyone on the field had already accepted the original call casts doubt on the whole process.
