Paul, thread, here's another IBM strategy that uses Intel chips, but will they confuse the customer even more:

IBM has
technologies to plug-in Intel chips through a separate
board, so that the AS/400 can run Microsoft's (MSFT:
news, msgs) Windows NT operating software. And in
time, IBM plans to make the computers run programs
that work with Linux.


I see what Sun means about IBM. They do seem to be shooting in all directions at once.
