As an avid lurker, just want to say Thanks! for your continued insights, which I find among the most useful

StockOperator

I appreciate your unemotional analysis -- I have a question for you about your comments on IBM and INTC - I'm wondering how you consider their price action today "strong". INTC perhaps might fit a definition (I'm prone to using Dunnigan's), but IBM?

I'm just wondering if you use QCharts for a look see today, my daily IBM chart from QCharts does not match that in Tradestation at all. It has been pointed out to me that price data on Quote.com for daily charts is sometimes quite flawed. As a result I've taken to plotting 390 minute charts, as the tick and 1 minute data are used to create these. Sometimes the difference is startling!

For any QCharts users, try this out for IBM. I'm currently connected to the mtnview-r05.quote.com server.

If we follow Dunnigan, regardless of closing price of an individual bar, an up bar is a higher high and higher low and the reverse is true for down bars. I'm finding a lot of value in looking at bars in all time frames in this manner.

Regards,
Michael

StockOperator,

Another post from you with just the facts. No hype, no useless gloom and doom predicting every day the market drops a couple hundred points. It's a pleasure to see your posts again. Hope you keep it up. You are one of the few I have bookmarked from the Original MDA thread.

Thanks
