Tony - <I think what IBM has done in that chip design is to maximize what we used to call "work" done on a per CPU cycle basis, and not push for high megahertz at all. In the server space, SPECint_rate95 sells, not megahertz, as Jim says. Still, 375 seems awfully slow, doesn't it?>

I have absolutely no argument with this. This is, in fact, what makes the platform perform as is does. Not Copper interconnects.
