Hello Jenna,

Nice to have found your thread. Fits nicely with my style of trading and categorization of time frame for holds. I would like to add some long term 2+ year picks to the thread as listed below.

Here are some of my picks and their performance from call to end of close today:

General Magic (GMGC) +101.85% 11/29/99
Millipore (MIL) +29.17% 12/7/99
Primus Telecom (PRTL) +13.33% 12/7/99
P-Com (PCMS) +150.00% 12/7/99
Andrew Corp (ANDW) +71.43% 12/14/99
Digital Lava (DGV) +126.42% 12/27/99
VTel (VTEL) +86.73% 12/27/99
PictureTel (PCTL) +33.09% 12/27/99
8x8 (EGHT) +126.92% 12/30/99
Wegener (WGNR) +168.18% 1/18/00
Comshare (CSRE) +2.94% 1/19/00

All of these stocks I intend on holding for 2+ years. My philosophy is to find undevalued stocks and just let the winners run (why screw with success).

Currently, the company which I feel has nice potential this year is Comshare (CSRE) now trading at around $4 bucks. More analysis is available on my site at www.whats-the-buzz.com.

Good trading to all,

MrBuzz

I put in a call to Doc Kronkite's newly installed "hot line for distressed traders" late last night. He picked up after seven rings.

"Hi Doc" I said.

"You again! What is it now?" he asked.

"Well doc, you know I'm a trader. I put on a trade, see a few points, take it. But here's the rub doc...every so often I'll take a look at a stock I traded to see how it's doing. Last night, in after hours trading I see QGENF go by at 135. 135! I traded this pup in the 40's 50's and 60's. All profitable trades. I was pleased. But 135!"

"So what's the problem?" said the doc. (I could hear his fingers drumming impatiently on his desk.)

"Well doc, I was afraid to tell Suzy. See doc, it's something we traders go through all the time. You buy a stock and are asking yourself a dozen times a day...should I take it here, take half; should I put a sell-stop under the market and hope it runs? It's a real problem doc. I think I'm in crises."

"Crisis, schmisis. You traders are a strange lot. Believe me I know, since I treat only traders now."

"But doc, usually I take my trade and never look back. But there it was on the tape...QGENF at 135. 135! Doc, you know how much that would have made me?"

"The solution is simple" said the doc. "Tell Suzy. Take the heat. Then forget about it, because there's nothing you can do about it. Move on."

I felt better immediately.

"Thanks doc" I said gratefully as he slammed the phone down.

Jenna: Watch-List #11 1/25. Agree, the stock may have gotten somewhat overbought, though I've seen overbought stocks continue higher still...but it appears that this company is in the forefront of the newest "hot" sector. I'm looking to nibble on any pullback or consolidation. A bull-flag, 2-3 days wouldn't surprise me. And I gotta tell you, bull-flags are terrific T/A indicators. Maybe sometime when you have a spare hour or two you can do whatever it is you do to "scan" for stocks that are in clearly defined bull-flags. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never had the expertise to accomplish. So I slog through the NASDAQ Daily Graphs looking for bull-flags accompanied by the other criteria that increase the probabilities of short-term trading moves. (Lee "Bull-Flag-Buccaneer" Kramer)

Jenna:

I'll try again. Any thoughts on whether or not to hold HHNT through earnings? They are supposed to beat the whisper number but still have a weak financial quarter.
Thanks in advance for your opinions. DonnaS
