Senate Says Greenspan Hearing Cancelled WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan's testimony before the Senate Budget Committee slated for Tuesday has been cancelled because of a snow storm blanketing Washington, the panel said. The hearing, which had been scheduled for 10 a.m. EST, was to discuss the U.S. economic and budget outlook. The committee did not say when the Fed chairman's appearance would be rescheduled. A heavy snowstorm was moving up the Eastern coast of the United States, dumping between eight to 14 inches of snow in the nation's capital, prompting the federal government to say non-emergency workers do not have to report to work.
