It's not a one trick pony if the license is for ten years and as for the market being right, we buy individual stocks because we believe the market misprices securities from time to time just like thqi right now.

<<< The stock market obviously agreed with her; it knocked the stock down significantly from the mid 20's where she suggested shorting it.>>>>

I don't think so. JAKK ran up on the S&P small cap inclusion news...not really the news but the need for the funds to buy shares. The following day it started to give it back similar to what has happened to other companies including THQI.

Interview was published and appeared last weekend. Think it had an impact prior to being available to general public?

That women is just full of it.

OT (JAKK)

wofdog2,

She recommended shorting at about 24, true. But she did so at a roundtable with eight other money managers, all of whom knew her pan on JAKK was due for publication in two weeks.

I think there is a very slight possibility (well, only if you can possibly imagine those other money managers wanting to make a quick profit at the expense of anyone not at the roundtable) that JAKK, following the run-up on the S&P smallcap 600 news, was sold down by these folks in the know.

As for Buchanan, she had six picks in Barron's last year, and during a year in which the Naz went up 80%, her six picks returned a negative 2.6%. Now maybe you're defending her because you're doing her. I hope that is the case because she is, to be sure, a beautiful woman. She just makes an ass of herself when she makes a public prediction.
