Had I kept the CMGI I would be ahead so that was a mistake. At the end of the day I wasn't sure which was the better investment but there was a special circumstance. CMGI is worth more to people with a U.S. address than it is to me. They only give the rights to buy IPO shares, when they do give them, to people with U.S. addresses. So with that small factor I leaned to buying Softbank. At present, unlike a seer who knew that Softbank would hit 150,000 by next Tuesday, I haven't the faintest idea which is a better bet, CMGI or Softbank.
