It looks like I'm both right and wrong...

Adding memory, a resource, increases resources, BUT it's a resource than isn't measured or reported by the System Resource meter. Sorta like the fuel gauge in your car reading 'Full' while your tyres lack air.

Anyway, thank-you for informing us what the System Resource meter does measure.

Cheers, PW.

Howard,

Can you help me with an Athlon vs. PIII question?

Just wondering if you have any experience with Athlon processors and multimonitor setups. I'm considering building an Athlon 700 with Asus K7M motherboard and ATI video cards and am wondering if anyone has gotten this multimonitor setup to work?

I'm also thinking of a PIII 733 with a ASUS P3V4X (Via Apollo Pro133A chipset) and ATI video cards. Does anyone know if the ASUS P3V4X is available yet? I see it on the ASUS website but haven't found it for sale yet via mail order.

Thanks.

Sue :)
