PB,

"Intel vs estimates"

Well they squeaked thru last quarter.

They have to hit close to $2.80 in 2000 to handily beat forecasts.

Thats an average of $0.70/qtr.

That surely means that they need to match Q4's 0.64 in Q1.

Its tough to see much upside on the earnings front - particularly in face of the forthcoming price war.

In Q2 Spitfire should have a manufacturing cost of $50 or less and should clock close to 1Ghz.

How does Intel dramatically grow earnings, top-line growth, etc and beat expectations in light of AMDs forthcoming products.

regards,

Kash
