I've only played the stocks and long calls. I don't have the balls to hold an NP near an earnings date. I only do NPs on stocks that have already taken a hit. I want the certain thing. But I've had some nice plays with calls just after the stock gaps down after the announcement. Even if the announcement is good, typically the street pros will fade the stock immediately and it will dump the next morning. It's a good time to watch the charts and hit it with a call just as it bottoms. Take profits on the move back up and don't be greedy.
