OT There have been no attacks on you here regarding stock. The negative reaction has been to your initial manners and then your seeming lack of command of our terminology, even though you claimed, as I recall, to have RTFM. In any case, it seems to me that your initial motive for coming here was to cause a ruckus. Your response to Uncle Frank's polite response and your attack on LindyBill much earlier post was very offensive. Such posts will ALWAYS be met with strong response from at least the Round Table. A ruckus you got. Now, let's talk stocks. Your evaluation of QCOM's position is very short term. Their barriers to entry are tall and long (IPR). Their market is in a tornado with new tornadoes being bred. They have, imo, at least 5 years of 50% growth, compounded, ahead of them. JDSU is a King, and I hold it. It will do great this year, and may beat the pants off of Q this year. I hope it does. JDSU's future after the backbone buildout slows to the point that demand for components can be satisfied is somewhat problematic. Others can fabricate what JDSU fabricates without IPR for the products. JDSU could see a new tornado with Metropolitan Area Network buildout, and even Last Mile buildout. That remains to be seen. Now, please RTFM and study QCOM, its market, its IPR, its new products. Then, I am sure you will agree, QCOM is a Gorilla with years of great appreciation ahead of this. The long term risk/reward of Q versus JDSU is very favorable. JDSU is not likely to out perform Q over the next 3-5 years, based on fundamental market dynamics as described in "Crossing the Chasm", "Inside the Tornado", and "The Gorilla Game". This is not the Dell thread, btw. Most of us came from that experience smarter than when we went in. Our investing model explains what happened to Dell. We disagree constantly, but we never call each other's posts "A JOKE". And, LEAPS are not LTB&H, even when you exercise.
