New to the board. Been eyeing MAT for awhile now. I've been exploring a theme that maybe the "value plays" of the past may still actually return the best long term returns. Yeah, with CMGI and the like out there, it's hard to sit and watch. I've no doubt that long term the internet and related tech will flourish, but these companies are having trouble profiting with their models. Anyone else thinking on these lines? This is why MAT seems good now.

Duker,
No, I missed the BIG ADI runup and only got a couple small ones. I've fared much better with MXIM over the years but even missed its latest. Caution hasn't been all that profitable recently (e.g. MAT <gg>).

But your point is well taken. Look for sound businesses that the street hates. The worm WILL turn, so to speak. CPWR falls in that catagory today, IMO. Also HAS has hazards.

The biggest hazard I see is that the market will meltdown before our worms turn <g>.
