Anybody know when the merger with ETEK will take place? In other words when will ETEK share holders have their shares replaced by JDSU shares?

THANKS!

Rob

t2, I agree that folks are trying to anticipate the drops earlier. I think many people (like me) expect last year's (and the year before) patterns to repeat and try to "beat the herd" as you say. But I don't agree that we've had the Feb correction yet. Yesterday, we opened at an all time high for the Nasdaq and we aren't all that far from the high right now. Combine that with the 80 something % rise in the Nasdaq last year (most of it from mid Oct) and I see much more down to come. Also, my JDSU shares have more than quintupled since June but the company is "only" growing at about 100% per year. I don't like the math.

But then, we're all just guessing, which is why I try to time the market with only 5-6% of my $$$. The rest is parked in long term shares and LEAPS, mostly in QCOM and JDSU, plus some NTAP, AMCC, GBLX, and BLD. Regards, Yaker.
