f the grey market is as strong as the Nikkei article suggests we may not get a good indication of "real" prices until the grey market subsides.

If I remember correctly, that article referred to Taiwanese box makers situation - high demand and not enough supply of PIII 500s & 550s(Katmai?) from Intel.

There is a basic perception shift in the marketplace, now that AMD makes worlds fastest PC processor.

When Intel (by far) had the speed title AMD was perceived by many as just a seller of low-end knockoffs who would shy away from systems based upon the AMD.

I think we are going to continue to see AMD blow away earnings estimates with sustained profitability and garner a much larger percentage of the processor market in the coming quarters.

Thats why I'm long as of today.

Incidentally, I bought an Athlon 700 last week and am very happy with it.
