Agree 100% with: "In the meantime don't expet a flood of buyers until they actually see the results in black and white. Those that have teh confidence have bought and just sit there and those that haven't will wait till they have cast iron, concrete proof that these numbers have been made. They may have to pay more for the stock but they don't want to risk anything."

In the past Q went against the trend of the market, but lately due to many momentum people, it is following along. Earnings will meet my expectations. To hell with the rest.

Gspam delay due to snow and cold. Maybe someone is trying to relay a message to him, how he makes the market feel when he speaks?

Q rocks, just a matter of time...

I think that pretty well sums it up. Again, I was not predicting a miss. In fact, my prediction, FWIW (not much) is for .26 or .27, but I would say .24 is possible and, given the story behind the numbers, might be "good enough" for current holders. However, as you say, it would not bring in new buyers, and current holders would have to ride it out until the next quarter.

I said in another post a couple of weeks ago that I would be a buyer between 120-130 and would back up the truck at 70 or 80. That would represent a 60% major correction, and is not unknown to happen even to solid tech companies, so much of the price is based on where the overall market is headed.

The flip side of the coin is that, as a ltb&h I am not selling unless I see some fundamental change in qcom's business plan or the future of cdma. However, I am ready to ride a major correction. The only time I have lost money in companies like this one is when I sold out of FUD.

Sadly he doesn't post here anymore

Yes! His posts were an important part of my DD and one of the reasons I got into Q in the spring of '97. Mo-mos would say that was way too early, but it's hard to time a "story stock". Anyway if he lurks here, THANKS.

lurking...
