For something like YHOO, I don't know what to say. The way some of these trade 324 followed by 328 might not be a bad tick. Normally I would suggest a percentage from last trade type of thing...but that percentage could be different depending upon the stock so that won't work. Wow...that is a good question. I will think on it and let you know if I think of anything.
