Jim - This machine, like the VA Linux box and the 1U products from IBM and CPQ (and BTW from SUNW) are designed for high density server farms such as net hosting. I suspect that this box will be a mainstay of the deals DELL is doing with Intel for ASP hosting, and it may fill that need quite well. In that space, the servicability and the Intel /DELL combo mean that a price premium is justified... I think it is well targeted in that regard. I was referring to the "blows away the competition" comment - it does not do that, it is in the pack but not well differentiated.
