Patrick -
remember they are comparing to the quarter when CPQ "stuffed the channel" - the sequential numbers look good and if DELL does as well in their sequential growth there should be no problems next month...

Pat -
Just saw the details posted on Raging Bull - the CPQ commercial PC group showed a 15% sequential gain against 3Q... hard to believe that DELL would show flat, or 3%, or any numbers like that and still have maintained their lead over CPQ... especially since the IDC numbers also include consumer PCs which were up 34% sequentially and 24% YOY. Perhaps Niles will need to revise his thinking yet again.

Pat,

CPQ stuffed the channels last year ( got the boys in charge fired- remember?) so the YOY comparison is not as important as the sequential comparison.

:)
