I think it was the spring of 97 that CSCO came out with a penny better and mentioned something about a possible temporary slow down in European growth. Does'nt really matter.

The stock sold off for a while. Kinda down each day and lots were saying the internet growth had started to peak.

A week or so latter it came back just as fast. Looked like a sharp V.

Now how many splits/dollars was that ago? Hmmmmm

Something I keep in the back of my mind.

I am glad QCOM did not blow away earnings since the expectation would have been raised with each pasting quarter making it harder and harder to make the mark (like DELL in the past).

I am also glad a splt was not announced since IMO it would have been thrown away at this point in time. Better to enjoy a split in the fall.

Meanwhile, QCOM is at 141 1/2.
