This is what you call market dominance... A 93% increase in revenue from last year and a quarter to quarter revenue growth rate of 37%. That makes the last 3 quarters (qtr to qtr) growth rate +23%, +19% and +37%. Tornado affects I believe. YTD revenues $790.9 million.

Clarify had good earnings as well with 71.6 mill for the quarter and 230.7 for the year - up 57% from last year (if I'm doing the math right!).

Remedy 72.6 mill for the quarter and 228.9m for the year. A gain of 45% from last year.

So here is the CRM market... Siebel now at 790.9m and still growing at a 93% clip. Clarify at 230.7 and growing at 57% with Remedy coming in #3 at 228.9 and growing at 45% a year. Oracle doesn't yet have a serious product and their CRM numbers are highly suspect at this point in time.

And Tom's hoped for knock out punch of Oracle/SAP is ...

"IBM and Siebel Systems Form Global Strategic Alliance: Siebel Systems and IBM announced a global strategic alliance to jointly develop, market and sell a complete eBusiness solution by integrating Siebel eBusiness Applications with IBM servers, database and enabling software, and the full suite of services and support."

With a huge CRM market now basically ours as the competition (e.g. Clarify and Remedy) is looking for niches. What a revenue machine for the next couple of years churning away at the estimated market for CRM 16bil by 2003 (if memory is serving me correctly). Not a bad cash machine while we get ready for the next tornado! E-commerce! Where sales are predicted to reach $1.3 Trillion by 2003! This is the 'total' market for e-commerce of course. We'll share a bit of it with our good friends over at IBM! ;-)

And with hundreds of partners and IBM basically selling Siebel everytime they sale their e-commerce solution.. wow.. I think Tom is going after this next tornado with a 'full load' and all guns blazing!

Want to bet Larry doesn't like the sound of this? <g>
