Pat, real quick, I'm looking to see how much cash vs debt a company has,(what the book value is) it's last few Q's top line earnings how many shares in the float and the market cap (market cap is very important relative to sales). What other companies are selling for in its field, what are their price to book, price to sales are. Then measure it against the stock I'm looking at to get a base line value. I look at who are the Institutional Holders of the company are.

Take a look at PCTL, VTEL & PLCM look at the market caps of the 3 companies, # of shares in the float, last 3 Q's top line and bottom line results. I think it will become clear that PLCM has allot of good news already built into it's market cap. & PCTL has allot of bad news already built into it's market cap. (the market has forgotten about VTEL). But with PLCM's market cap at 2.4 Billion and PCTL at about 240 million, is PLCM 10 TIMES the company PCTL is?? The market is telling me either PLCM is overvalued or PCTL is undervalued, I think its both. How much market risk am I taking in buying PCTL vs PLCM ??

What it tells me is if PCTL can do anything right there is allot of upside in the stock. With Intel ownership and investment in PCTL I think its a good investment based on what I'm seeing in the fundamentals.
