Not hitting on all cylinders!

The problem or difficulty these days is that expectations are so darn high that unless (1) earnings beat whisper numbers, (2) with increased sales, (3) in all segments, (4) with expanding profit margins,(5) and conference call is a rah-rah session headed by an infomercial motivational speaker, then stock will drop.

CPQ showed us again this quarter that so far it is still just a box maker. Profits were in consumer pcs. All the other crap it is involved in hasn't added a penny of profits. Did cpq make any money in server segment?

Dear CJ: Well, CPQ continues to teach us Humility. Capellas may be a fine manager and a nice guy but he has no inkling how to play the analysts. CPQ is not in MSFT league and shouldnt be coy about the future. If 15% growth is true, then time to look for a new leader. Thats miniscule from these low levels. If he is trying to set a target he can CRAWL over then we as shareholders are screwed again. I am certainly glad CPQ is only a small portion of my portfolio, I feel sorry for EL who has had the faith so long. I will hold for the theraputic value of this stock but not for riches. JDN
