DS, This netcache appliance sounds awfully good. They support the three major streaming media formats and are partnering with the big dog service provider in this space (Akamai). New value chain forming maybe? They should aggresively go after Digital Island, RNWK, ITVU to name a few. Question I would like answered is, what is the switching cost for say Akamai to change to another caching server from say Inktomi? Is their cache server somehow tied to their storage solutions?
