CREE has been behaving much like an ape in a high wind. Perhaps its not a Gorilla and that's not a Tornado, but its a good dress rehearsal.

As one who makes his living going through the process of rehearsals, dress rehearsals and performances - only the performances matter. <ggg>

LOL...it is a real snowball in durham, nc today
:o)
i think everyone understands by now that SiC is in demand and has some understanding of the products and markets. this is a brief comment on cree's growth plan.

cree began last year with 72,000sf of production space and 2" wafer growth. they did some minor space additions last year.

in june of this year cree will occupy a facility twice that size with 3" wafer growth.

in october another equally large facility is scheduled for completion.

cree had sufficient cash on hand ($47 million) coupled with cash flow to pay for the first and most of the second. cree has sufficient land, paid for, to construct several more production plants.

cree just picked up an additional $266 million from the spo.
spo announcement to completion took two weeks the overallottment shares were snapped up. cree was trading very close to the all-time high the day of the spo...that is phenomenal imo.

i am waiting to hear how the spo $$ will be used for additional growth beyond these current, pre-spo, funded projects. spo quiet period ends in about a week.
