Matt:

Is there a way to create an Icon on Win98 desktop that will automatically delete the files in the temp folder?

Thanks,

Dominick

Welcome to the team.

Today I didn't handle one single server or queuing issue on QCharts.

Thats most likely because we have learned not to bother. You cant fix it anyway.

The capacity issue seems to be on the Live Charts side

I remember very clearly the week that LiveCharts was hosed. Qcharts worked better than it ever had. I suspect there is some overlap in resources between the two.

Clearing the temp file in the QCharts directory seems to resolve nearly all of the "apparent" queuing problems
I exit, clear temp files, and renter so many times that I usually keep a window pointing to the temp directory and I have a shortcut to it on my desktop. It *rarely* helps, but at least I can tell myself I've tried everything.

email me and I will make sure that we solve your problem.

Understand that the duration of the problem is usually less than 5 minutes. Often it lasts only 30 seconds (usually at a critical time when data volume is peaking). It has lasted as long as 1/2 hour at times. I'm not even touching the problems with the ISLD book here- those are even worse.

I'll be glad to e-mail you- but don't expect that the problem will still be there by the time you read the message. Instant messaging would be a great idea for qcharts support until they build it into the program.

Eric

Matt: . Symptoms of this are similar to queuing-- long delays before charts load (or chart doesn't load at all). Clearing the temp file in the QCharts directory seems to resolve nearly all of the "apparent" queuing problems.

You mean is not my connection after all? Well at least now when you jump on here and Pollyanna QCharts, we'll know your getting paid for it...<g>

What does that do to your trading time?

Regards,
LG
