Dear Gus: Yes, I have all the respect in the world for IBM's technological prowness, but pretty hard for a multifaceted company to compete with a single purpose company. Lot more to this advanced storage then equipment. People is the thing. Takes well trained, experienced personnell with a lot of dedication and drive in them. EMC excells in this world. JDN

Hi Gus,

IBM is a joke (a bad one) in Servers (thanks SUN!) and storage.... (EMC).

In my Technology Architecture role, at various accounts, they are nowhere to be seen.

I would not worry too much about IBM
