t2, I hope that the market quote is based on the clarification of the numbers under US accounting rules (.44) or we may not see it in the AM. Good luck, Brian

112 is mildly reasurring, as is the eye of a hurricane......just for the moment. It's not reassuring if there's a mistake.

Remember how INTC's earnings were botched with a resulting big selloff in the aftermarket, only to have it clarified.

Once clarified, it resumed and upward bead.

I don't want a reverse of that if we've badly misinterpreted the earnings due to currency valuations, reporting errors, or accounting inconsistencies, or something else.

Why did everyone get this mangled?

JMHO.

Steve

I especially like this part of the Reuters release: ``They go into next year with the wind at their back,' said Chris Stix, analyst at SG Cowen & Co. in Boston, referring to an order backlog of $11.2 billion. ``That's a very strong number -- it's close to half a year done.'
