I couldn't find the section where they claim to have the worlds most powerful laser. I did find the spot on the time line where Spectra-Physics and Xerox announced the formation of the first high power semiconductor laser company in 1983....SDL was born.

If you go back to SDLI's earliest SEC filings you'll find there was a law suit with SpectraPhysics. It's been settled and I don't know anything about them now. There are lots of claims out there so it might be good to talk to as many people in the industry as you can.

I'll try to check them out tomorrow. No promises. . .
