tips, when i was shopping for a car several years ago, i chose maxima because it ranked among the tops in consumer reports in all categories.

the six banger nissan makes is bullet proof, imo, have close relationship with that banger since the 70's Z cars =g=

i haven't kept up with the latest models or the consumer report stuff, thats the best place to check for a car.

I have 92k on my 92 maxima, which I bought new. I service them for every 3000 miles. I have had trouble with my power windows twice. Now my engine temp gauge is not working. That's about the only problems I have had. Everything else is just good.

I agree with you on caca models from Nissan - Stanza for example. They discontinued it and introduced Altima, which is much better than any in that class. Sentra is a nice car too but there may be other good ones in that class. As far as I can tell, Maxima is the best in its class. Great power (it has the sports car engine) and drives smooth.

I have a '95 & a '96. Never done a thing to em other than change the oil. Put about 12K a year on each.

Nissan quality is superb, just don't market their cars well. Remember that Maxima & infiniti I30 are same cars. NO way they mess with Infiniti quality.....
