Update from Yahoo for AMD: Short Interest As of 10-Jan-2000 Shares Short 12.7M Percent of Float 11.9% Shares Short(Prior Month) 14.2M Short Ratio 4.76 Daily Volume 2.66M ----- With recent prices being above $37 (conversion point for outstanding bonds) it is likely that some of these shorts are hedge positions. A similar situation arose last year with AAPL. I found some info on the convertible bonds but haven't posted it yet as it didn't seem particularly interesting. PT
