My wife views these developments as potential avenues for exit for mini-VCs doing mini-incubation and private equity deals ... get the site up, put together a better story, get the big boys to buy it, move on to the next mini-incubation. I am hoping that there will be some leakage of funds from her efforts to supplement my public equity trading, to buy into the hot public shares as they turn hot, the gains of which can then be re-invested in still more mini-incubations and private equity deals. Now, obviously, a tap would have to be opened in this 'virtuous' circle of private-public deal pipe to funnel some money into the 'bomb-proofed' portfolio for days in Maui.
