The sale is structured in such a way CSFB would pay EDS the money at yesterday's stock price but the stock won't be transferred to CSFB 5 years hence,EDS also would have privilege to participate in another 20% of the gain during this time. Sounds like a complicated deal but an interesting one nonetheless. EDS gets the money now to pay off some debt in the mean time. I think that is how the deal is structured.
