Frodo,if we assume that it is true
(despite NN denial), by selling 3dsl division for example to ALA, NN would rise lots of cash to growth its core and edge ATM, as well as LMDS which growth most likely will exceed that of DSL.
The major source of revenue in 3dsl is 350 access node, not ATM switches.
If ALA would agree to buy ATM switches form NN( they go along with 350 access node in 3dsl deployment)plus use core and edge ATM switches for
its customers (distribution a la Simemens)then such scheme can work.
But of course it is only speculation and chance for such sales are very small.
Just my opinion.
