Anybody has any comment on yesterday's huge volume (1,080)on THQI on Feb. $22.5 put? Is it because some big short position see the stock has bottomed, and sell put to lock in the price for him/her to buy in without causing short squeeze?

<<We just got the license (for 4 yrs) to develop games for Scooby-Doo. Any thoughts
on its value?>>

I think it's equal to at least 1/2 of Rugrats and you know how highly I esteem that license. What wasn't mentioned in the pr is that there is supposed to be a major Scooby Doo movie this fall. Look at how well Rugrats sold last year with a movie tie-in. Look at how well THQ has done both times with Toy Story gameboys (I and II). Bug's Life did great too.

I also think it's a way-above-average title on N64. THQ's N64 lineup is going to be very kid-oriented next year. And it is going to have properties that are on television about every day--Scooby, Power Rangers, and Rugrats. Two of which will have major movies.

Or to put it another way, this license pretty much puts Q4 2000 to rest. It will easily beat Q4 1999 (which I expect to be in the seventies, eps-wise).

WWF revs will help blow out Q2 and Q3 as well. Looks like Wrestlemania 2000 is already all the way to the million needed for Nintendo's Player's Choice. Expect it to come out at $40 with a Nintendo-paid advertising blitz in Sept. or Oct.

This is an extremely exciting lineup for 2000. Scooby and the Rugrats movie pretty much insures that our GBC and N64 lineup will do better than in 1999. Certainly the PSX lineup will do better. Then add DC and PSX II. And extra foreign sales. The real wildcard that could finally lead us to that 30 PE are the PC games. THQ has still never had a truly successful domestic release. It has three good shots this year with Evil Dead, Felony Pursuit, and especially Summoner.

Farrell will just keep putting up the eps numbers w/20-30% growth even in a transition year and keep taking his shots at the jackpot with new licenses like these.
