Ahhhhh Ken, a man of few words and a quick index finger! :-) That's cool! The brokers topic only came up most likely because not all brokerages allow online spread transactions. So, you have no choice but call on the phone to complete the second leg of the spread at those brokerages. I got a nasty note from my brokerage today and it was an error on their part. I called and was a little hot but I waited for them to get their act together. They acknowledged their mistake and offer to refund the commissions on my last two transactions in order to compensate me for my "patience and time." Hey, it worked! I feel a heck better to be right and $50 richer for 15 minutes on the phone.
