Maybe the CEO is more concerned with long term appreciation rather than the immediate market reaction to their statements. Microsoft doesn't have too bad of a track record to follow - not to mention Cisco who made similar cautionary comments a few months ago.

The long term story on QCOM is unaffected by this. I'll lose some trading money but I'm buying leaps - not panicking.

Dr. J is not an idiot. Up until about three years ago, many claimed that QCOM's technology would never be commercially viable. Now it is an industry standard and QCOM, despite today's decline, is a powerhouse. Last year, QCOM was the best performing stock on the S&P 500. At 125, the stock is about where it was four weeks ago. I'm not sure where the stock will be in the next few days or weeks, but I do know that next year 125 will look like a great price.
