Thread, I am trying to get my feet wet with LEAPS, so in trying execute my first trade, here is the problem I encountered: I am trying to perform "Stock Replacement Therapy" (Roth, page 199) To do this effectively, I need to sell the stock and buy DIM LEAPS at or near the same time. Minutes won't matter, but days well. FIDO tells me that, because I have no cash, it can't be done. The reason being that settlement for Q LEAPS is 1 day. Settlement for Q stock is 3 days. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.
