Why is there a "c" in anectodal? I'll never understand... one of the wonders of the world I guess.

But...you are right. If indeed floor traders are trading successfully based on P&F then indeed there are merits. And like you I too watch intraday movements but I'm too much of a whimp to trade on them. Call me weak. This is why I'm going to kick your butt in the craps tourney :)

If I recall correctly you cannot trade in a pit with a computer showing you the intraday bar charts. So unless they are getting instruction from off the floor PnF by hand is one of the few available routes to take.

This route may be more widely used by independents I would guess.
